Chatpata Jeera Aloo (Navratri / Fasting Special)
Embrace the joy of the festival with the some of our fasting recipes. Chatpata Jeera Aloo is very easy and yummy receipe that you can have it as snack or it can be served as sabji with singhade ki pudi or paratha.
Here goes the recipe:
Ingredients :
1. Boiled potatoes / Aloo sliced - 4 medium size
2. Jeera/ cumin seed - 1 Tsp
3. Black Pepper Powder / Kaali Mirch Powder - 1/2 Tsp
4. Rock Salt/ Sendha Namak - to taste
5. Green chillies / Hari Mirch chopped -4 (you can vary it according to your taste)
6. Ginger/ Adarak Grated - 1 Tsp
7.Lemon / Nimbu Juice - 1 Tsp
8. Coriander Leaves/ Dhaniya Patti - To Garnish
9. Oil
Method:
1. Heat oil in pan.
2. Now add jeera and when it starts to crackle mix chopped chillies and ginger.
3. After this add boiled potatoes and mix it well. Let it cook for 5 min on medium flame .
4. Now add black pepper powder, rock salt and mix it .
5. After 5 min turn off the flame and add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix it.
6. Now chatpata jeera aloo is ready to serve.
