Chicken Soup

Hello beautiful Homemakers, today I am going to share recipe which has been prepared by my hubby...My hubby is non-veg lover...I had started non-veg after marriage...My hubby cooks very well (infact better than me) ... Today he has prepared Chicken Soup... 
During lockdown, when you can't go out  then you can prepare this recipe and enjoy your quarantine life.... 
It is basically prepared from chicken with loads of veggies... It's very healthy and tasy soup... I have prepared it with whatever was available in our kitchen... You can add more veggies as per your choice....

Here goes the recipe:

Ingredients:

1. Chicken - 250 gms
2. Finely chopped onions - 1/2 cup
3. Finely chopped carrot - 1/2 cup
4. Finely chopped bell peppers - 1/2 cup
5. Finely chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
6. Finely chopped Raw Papaya -1/2 cup
7. Finely chopped veggies of your choice - 1/2 cup
8. Cornflour - 2 tbspn (mixed with a cup of water without any lumps) 
9.Salt - to taste
10. Black pepper powder - 1 tspn (varies according to desired spice up of soup) 
11. Oil - For cooking
12. Finely chopped Ginger - 1 tspn
13. Finely chopped Garlic -1 tspn
14. Bay Leaves /Tejpatta - 2 pcs. 

Method:

1. Heat oil in a cooker and add bay leaves with chicken. 
2. Cook chicken till it changes it color slightly light in color. 
3. After that add 1-1.25 litres water with salt and cover it with lid, put the flame on medium and let it cook for 20-25 minutes.
4. Now switch off the flame and take the chicken in a bowl, then let it cool. 
6. Don't throw chicken stock but put it on medium flame and add all veggies with salt and let it boil. 
5. Meanwhile,  remove bones from chicken and cut it in very small pieces. ( I have separated and mashed chicken a bit with my hands not used knife) 
6. Now add shredded chicken and let it boil for 15 minutes more. 
7. Then mix cornflour water slowly while stirring soup. 
8. Keep stirring till the consistency of soup becomes thick as desired. It will take about 1-2 minutes to cook. 
9. Now add black pepper powder and switch off the flame. 
10. Just take some soup in a bowl and top it with butter..
11. Your tasty chicken soup is ready to be served. 

Notes:
1. You can add as many veggies as you want. 
2. You can add chilli sauce if you want to make it more spicy.
