Butter Naan

Hello beautiful Homemakers, few days back I tried my hands at naan...It turns out so yummy ....When I have posted it's pic on social media then many requested me to share recipe...So today I am going to share Butter Naan recipe...
This is basically made up of all purpose flour but you can use whole wheat fully/ partially for healthier version.. I have used all purpose flour only...
Hubby has prepared Paneer Tikka Masala which has made our dinner awesome...
During lockdown, when you can't go out and crave for restaurant like Naan, then you can prepare this and enjoy your quarantine life....
Hope you will try this out and let me know how it came out.

Here goes the recipe:

Ingredients:

For Dough:

1. All purpose flour/ Maida - 2 cups
2. Curd - 1/4 Cup
3. Sugar - 2 tspn
4. Salt - 1 tspn
5. Ghee -1 tbspn
6. Eno (Plain) - 1 tspn
7. Lukewarm Water

Other:

8. Kalonji seeds
9. Melted butter
10. Finely chopped coriander

Method:

1. Take all the dry ingredients of dough list (except water) in a bowl and mix it well.
2. Mix gently till it looks little crumby texture.
3. Now slowly add water and knead till it becomes smooth and soft.
4. After that cover the dough with wet cloth and leave it for 2 hours.
5. Now divide dough in 6 equal proportion.
6. Then make round balls and sprinkle little kalonji seeds over ball and make oval shaped naan using rolling pin.
7. Naan should neither be very thin or thick. It should be slightly thick than regular paratha.
8.After that heat tawa and put it on medium flame.
9. Then apply water on the base of naan i.e back side of kalonji sprinkled.
10. Put the naan on tawa and water applied side will be on tawa. Press lightly so that it sticks to tawa.
11.Meanwhile mix butter and coriander leaves in a bowl.
12. When bubbles starts appearing on naan then turn the tawa on direct flame, naan will be sticked to the base due to water and cook the upper side on direct flame.
13. After that, take the naan on a plate and cook other balls in the same way.
14. Apply butter and coriander mix on cooked naan and serve it hot.

Notes:
1. You may skip kalonji and make a plain naan.
2. A mix whole wheat flour and all purpose flour can also be used for healthier version.
3. Don't put flame on high because naan will not be cooked from inside, so cook it on medium flame always.
4. You can use baking soda instead of eno but I find using eno is good.
